The Challenge

On the 20^th of September, three courageous young men (Sean, Adrian and Bobby), will be doing the Rift Valley Odyssey Mountain Bike Race (www.riftvalleyodyssey.com) here in Kenya in order to raise funds for the baby home. They will be dominating 240km of unprepared donkey trails over 3 days, with a 5000m ascent, with a lot of pain, sweat and tears (I'd imagine!).  We hope to raise money to install a solar system at the baby home so we have access to hot water. Currently, we have to boil water for each child's bath, washing dishes etc, and of course this leaves us with very substantial electricity bills. We hope with the solar system we will be able to have enough hot water for all our needs, which will greatly reduce our overhead costs. We are aiming to raise USD 5,000! With any money raised above what is needed for the solar system, we will getting more cots made for our babies, so that we will have the capacity to take in 15 babies!
